Initially the plugin was working correctly, but now when you try to view messages it takes you to a page that says, “You must login to view your message.” while you are already logged in. Any suggestions you have on how to fix this error or what might be causing it would be greatly appreciated.

Do you remember what you changed during that time?
Do you use any caching plugin? If yes, please disable caching in message page.
    Let me know.

I’m not completely sure our web developer did most of the changes and he recommend that I reach out to you for some better insight. We have disabled the caching plugin but the issue still persists.

Could I securely give you Admin login credentials and have you take a look at the site so you can tell us exactly whats going on?

Issue was not in the plugin.
You added some code in your child theme’s functions.php incorrectly. I have corrected it. Now check please.
