    Dear Shamim Hasan,

We’re having a problem with Front End Pro. The installation and so on work fine – I’ve managed that myself. But we can no longer use it because we get an error message after clicking the ‘Send Message’ button. The error message is: Error: An error has occurred. Please try again. Also, the user search function isn’t working properly, as it doesn’t display the search results. You only see the results if you hover over them with the mouse. So something isn’t working properly. Help

I’ve added four screenshots, numbered 1 to 4, in which I’ll show you step by step what I mean.

Could the error perhaps be because we’ve been working in a temporary space for too long and have been blocked??
    We really need your help.

    1. is it a test website?
    2. Is it a fresh install or there was previous version installed before?
    3. Can you check in DB if PREFIX_fep_messages, PREFIX_fep_messagemeta and PREFIX_fep_participants tables exists?

    Hello Shamim,

    1. It was on a test site for over a month and a half whilst a new website was being built.
    2. Yes, it’s a new installation now.
    3. Those files aren’t listed in phpMyAdmin.

    Regards,
    Marcel.

Can you change in database directly? if yes please delete fep_db_version from option table then refresh the page.
let me know if that fix it. If not please check if db tables are create or not.

fep_db is not in the database and no database tables have been created.

So the strange thing is that there’s nothing in the database. But after a clean install, all the settings I’d entered previously were there, as were all the colour adjustments?
I’m quite happy to start all over again from scratch, but apparently that’s not possible.
So there must still be something in the database somewhere.

The temporary space where we were working is also completely empty. So there can be no connection to that space.

    1. Does your db user can create db tables?
    2. Please go to Front End PM PRO > Settings > Remove Data on Uninstall? and checked it and save. Then uninstall the plugin and delete the plugin. Then install again.

    Let me know.

It seems to be working fine now… a huge thank you. It’s just that when you search for someone like in images 1 and 2, you can’t see the result, can you? Unless you hover over it with the mouse. Can that be sorted out with some CSS? If so, I’d be all set.

I also use the snippets plugin for PHP and CSS. And the ‘Add CSS Code’, ‘Add JS Code’ and ‘Add HTML Code’ plugins. So this is about what happens when you want to send a user a private message. It doesn’t show up.
    Regards,
    Marcel

    Any ideas please??
    ————————–

    Send message

    To:

    Enter a username.
    Search…

Then it is blank? But the name is there… if you hover your mouse over it.

May be your other CSS conflicting with the field. Can you deactivate those plugins then test?
