Yes, I do use a child theme, so i tried it.
This does give back the function of having only one mail, but now the email is not “beautified” anymore.
Is there a way to have both functions.

In the beautified email i use an HTML layout and the following tags:

• {{subject}}
• {{message}}
• {{announcement_url}}
• {{site_title}
• {{site_url}}

So the email is equal for everyone.
