    Hi there,

We’ve recently had to move servers to a VPS solution, but our new host doesn’t support the piping of emails to a program.

Is there a way around this using alternative technology?

    Thanks in advanced!

If your host doesn’t support piping of emails to a program then your users need to go to your website to reply messages. You can send message link in notification email so that user can follow that link to go to your website to reply his messages.

Is there no way around this? I’m currently looking at email filtering to forward the messages to a shell user, and then forward to the PHP file using a .forward file. Hopefully this will work.

in your .forward file use |php /home/xxx/xxx/fep-email-piping.php (change file permission and enter correct path)
    This should work

Thanks, that’s what i’ve done. I think our path to PHP is just wrong though. Wish me luck 🙂

I am using Zoho.com to manage emails and I use Amazon AWS to host the website. Isn’t there an alternative to making this work?
