On my website FEPM Pro updated automatically from 11.4.5 to 11.4.6 and broke the website. I rolled back to 11.4.5 and it automatically updated again and broke the website. I rolled back again to 11.4.5 and disabled automatic updates on the plugin, yet it still did it again. Anyway, I’ve had a play and been able to get 11.4.6 installed and keep my site running but it’s only the free version. I eventually got the licence to sync and it tells be to download the Pro plugin files (with the button to do so). When I install the Pro plugin, it initially says it can’t activate it due to it causing a critical error. When I manually active it, no critical error occurs, but I notice the Pro plugin is 11.4.5 and is active, and I have two inactive versions, a free 11.4.5 version and a free 11.4.6 version. I’m not sure if this is correct. If I try to delete either one of the two inactive free plugins the whole cycle starts again.
(In the screenshot you will see that I have disabled automatic updates to try to prevent this cycle continuing until I have a conclusion.)
Many thanks!

What version of wordpress you are using?
if it breaks your website you should have received an email with exact error log, can you give me that error log?October 11, 2026 at 3:42 pm #46091Marcel OlijerhoekParticipantThe same here,,, see attachment.
Update or upgrade is not possible.. i use now: Versie 11.4.5.
Current WordPress version: 7.1.3Attachments:You must be logged in to view attached files.October 12, 2026 at 6:02 pm #46093Kelly Wallace HorneParticipantWordpress version 7.1.3. I only got an on-screen message saying the plugin couldn’t be activated due to it causing a critical error, so it never actually triggered the email with the error log. The issue with the automatic update was breaking the front end without actually triggering the error log email. It’s working fine now, it’s just that I have to have an inactive 11.4.5 free plugin, an inactive 11.4.6 free plugin, and an active 11.4.5 Pro plugin in order to achieve this, which doesn’t seem as though it’s correct?
I’m now getting a notification from the server that the plugin has a vulnerability…
“Front-end-pm version 11.4.6 that is located at ****** has vulnerability(s):
CVE-2026-39788”Many thanks.
October 12, 2026 at 11:53 pm #46094Shamim HasanKeymasterA new version is released. Can you update to the latest version?
Latest version now is 11.4.7October 13, 2026 at 10:43 am #46095Marcel OlijerhoekParticipantI did now.. so far so good. It looks now that the problem seems to be solved.

Attachments:You must be logged in to view attached files.October 15, 2026 at 12:57 pm #46100Shamim HasanKeymasterWhere you are getting this message?
is it restricting you from updating the plugin to latest version?October 16, 2026 at 2:40 pm #46101Marcel OlijerhoekParticipantWe’ve been using Security by CleanTalk for years to handle spam and website security.
Now I’m getting a daily email saying that the .php file isn’t secure.
And this notification appeared after the update. I think I’ve already forwarded an email to youOctober 18, 2026 at 10:03 am #46102Shamim HasanKeymasterI have security checked with CleanTalk but it is not showing in my end. Did you updated to latest version? Latest version is 11.4.7.
Also i see in your screenshot, there is an option to send the file to CleanTalk for analysis, can you send them and get an update from them?October 18, 2026 at 3:20 pm #46103Marcel OlijerhoekParticipantYes, I’m using the latest version, 11.4.7, and the latest version of WordPress. So that’s fine, but every day I get an email warning me about the .php file:
Hint:
These files may not contain malicious code, but they use very dangerous PHP functions and constructs! PHP developers do not recommend using such code.
Actions:
To ensure the best quality for the malware scan, please enable the option “Automatically send suspicious files for cloud analysis” in the plugin interface: WordPress dashboard -> Settings -> Security by CleanTalk -> General Settings.
Another option is to send the file for analysis directly: WordPress dashboard -> Settings -> Security by CleanTalk -> Malware Scanner -> Send for Analysis (right below the critical/suspicious file).I’ll go ahead and send it to CleanTalk 🙂
