    Hi,

I’m developing a support system with the Front End PM PRO plugin. I’ll have students messaging one user, “support”.

I’d like to have many support users in a WordPress role called “support” see and interact with the students.

Ideally, the support users will login independently with their own logins for accountability.

Has this been done and can it be done?

You can add group and add your “support” users to that group. You can add all user from a role easily. see https://www.shamimsplugins.com/docs/front-end-pm-pro/getting-started-2/group-messaging/

Now students can send message to this group and any support users from that group can reply that message.

    Hi Shamim,

I’ve create the groups I think are required. I logged in as a student and I’m getting an empty To: field and a checkbox for Group but then the message “You are not member to any group” appears.

Please see the attached recipient and security pages.

I’m looking for all subscribers to message only the “support” ( Admissions ) group. Also, no student should see or message any other student.

Do I need to pre-fill the To: input box with a specific user or something else?

    Thank you.

Please set “Max Recipients” to 0 as you do not want to show empty “To” field.
    Then add this code https://www.shamimsplugins.com/support/topic/send-message-to-group-not-member-of-that-group/#post-19329

add members in your group (your support user)

    Hey there,

Thank you for the code. I added it to my site and now the student in the subscriber role can now see the group, Admissions and can send the message.

My issue now is my Admissions team in the role of Registrar can not see any messages from the students.

Also, a second student can’t see the message the first student sent, which is perfect.

Please see the screenshots at the following link.

Add your admission team in “Group Members” field. You can add all members from that role. Please see https://www.shamimsplugins.com/docs/front-end-pm-pro/getting-started-2/group-messaging/

I want all users in the role to be added automatically. I don’t want to manually add people.

I’m sorry. I’ve read the page you linked to many times and I was under the impression I properly configured it.

Please in “Group Members” field type {role-unparsed}-role_name (instead of role_name type actual role name). Roles suggestion will show bellow that field. Select role from that suggestion. Then save changes.

Am I doing anything wrong with this?

You are typing in “Group Slug” field. You have to type in “Group Members” field. Just bellow that field where you are typing.

Thank you very much for your help. I got it to work. My student sent a message to the group and many from the group responded.

I do suggest that the documentation be improved. It was not clear enough. I didn’t realize I had to type the [{role-unparsed}-role_name into the slug field and the members field.

You can type anything in slug, but in “Group Members” field that makes the difference. See my previous most of post i was telling you have to type in “Group Members” field.

    Glad it is working now.
