    Problem solved!
Our Cron did not fire regularly, as it should. We worked with our hosting provider to ensure that it kept awake and everything works fine now. It had nothing to do with Front End PM Pro.
    Problem solved.
    Thanks for your help.

    Now again emails get stuck.
Our WP hosting support deleted the cron table to re-create it. The new table also include fep event but it doesn’t start.
The support tried to launch in command line and the event gave back an error message, but logs didn’t give any more precise information:
    “wp cron event run fep_email_interval_event
Error : Invalid cron event ‘fep_email_interval_event'”

You’l fin attached the cron tab list , old before delete, new after re-creation.

    What could we do?
    Thanks for your answer

This morning at 00h01 150 annoucement notification emails were delivered (150 accorded to the setting) one shot . From there nothing happened anymore. I changed (after this delivery) the setting of number of emails according your request but nothing happened. It really looks like the cron task is not lauched, or 1 time a day (and not every day) despite the setting in FEPM is 1 minute!

Could you tell me what cron tasks are involved in such annoucement email sending?

    Thanks for your answwer

Thanks for your answer. WP control is installed. You’ll find attached an excel export of cron task. I attached also a screenshot of annoucement table from FEPM extension.

From my understanding, the cron task seems to run (last instance fep_email_interval_event 20/01/24 19h32), but the emails remain stuck from 18/01/24 11h10.

As more detailed info 1st symptom was a delay in an annoucement email sending (announcement made on 16/01, email started on 18/01) and 13 emails remained “pending” from 120. I deleted this annoucement trying to purge the queue, so it’s not on the screenshot anymore. Then for the next announcement all emails were stuck.

    Thanks for your help

    Hello Shamin
I have the same issue, with emails stuck in Pending state. I followed the above advice (change the Email Pending Interval) to no avail. Emails are still stuck.
Is there another way of fixing this?
I saw that you proposed to help but the November 6 reply (above) has been marked as private so I cannot see if the issue was resolved.
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi,

    > Please make sure your cron is working properly

It works properly for any other task in our WP site. No problem observed.

    > If you set “Every 5 minutes” and it works, my suggestion is that you can keep that settings.

It’s the case but I’d like to understand why “Every hour” could be a problem. The interval was set to “Every hour” in order to avoid overloading Mailgun when we are sending numerous notifications from various extensions in our WP site.

    > This is not the case for the other notification emails that FEPM is sending.

This might be wrong. We couldn’t actually check this correctly. Please forget. The problem remains the same, though.

    Regards.

    Hi Shamin,

Oops, My name in the post is not correct. Patrick Philippot left out our organization and I have taken over.

My name is Denis Marchand. I changed the name in the account profile but it remains unchanged in subsequent replies of the pot.

How can I get the name to change in the posts?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Hi Shamin,

I strongly support Patrick’s request. The capability exists for messages and is very handy.
Users have a hard time understanding why the same function does not exist for announcements.

Please let us have as soon as possible. It will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    > I can add this feature in next version of this plugin.

Yes, please. Since this feature is already available for messages, users are somewhat confused to not have the same possibility for announcements.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Shamin,

    > When user open that announcement it automatically marked as read

Of course but that’s not the problem I explained in my example. Let’s assume the user has dozens of announcements pending and he doesn’t want to open them now one by one to get rid of the alerts header. How should he proceed ?

Currently, what I do in such a situation is to right-click each announcement and open it in another tab. I don’t necessarily read them because they might be too old or irrelevant. Then I close all tabs and refresh the page to get rid of the alerts header.

I’d like to be able to bulk mark multiple announcements as read.

    Thanks.

    Hi again,

The pending emails have been finally sent after I changed the interval settings in the Email tab ? ! ? !

Wondering what could have blocked the sending mechanism…

    Hi Shamim,

    >> It seems your message (only one) deleted by another recipient of that message.

This raises a question about the meaning of the option “Can user reply to messages deleted by other user”. Does this mean that if this option is not enabled, once one of the recipients in the group has deleted the message for himself, it’s no longer possible for other recipients in the group and for the message author himself to answer this message ? This is apparently what happened.to me.

If the answer is yes, I don’t see the purpose of this option. In which case is this behavior useful ?

Thanks in advance for giving us more explanations about this feature.

Note that I had deleted messages in other threads but not in this one (since it only contained my initial post).
